Biography
Dr. Caitlin Williams-Beecher
While at U of T she completed her studies serving as the Chief Endodontics Resident and undergraduate clinical instructor. She has gained the respect and admiration of her U of T peers and faculty for her friendly personality, professionalism and superior clinical skills. She successfully completed the 3-year programme in 2021.
Dr. Williams-Beecher is a member of the American Association of Endodontists and Canadian Academy of Endodontics.
Dr. Williams-Beecher is a loving wife and a proud mother, priding herself on family, work life balance, all while giving back to church and community. She has a heart to serve and pushes for the best in patient care. Prior to leaving for studies in Canada she was a lecturer and clinical instructor at College of Oral Health Sciences, UTech. She was also heavily involved in community health fairs and volunteered with the non-profit organization Great Shape! Inc to provide dental care to underserved sections of Jamaica.
Dr. Caitlin Williams-Beecher hails from the garden parish of St. Ann, Jamaica where from an early age she prepared to serve through family, church and community. In August 2010 she matriculated to the University of Technology, Jamaica where she was a part of the first cohort of dentists trained on Jamaican soil in the Doctor of Medical Dentistry programme. In 2015 she graduated top of her class and earned the university's Presidential Pin. She was also a valedictorian candidate and received several awards for academic and clinical excellence including the Dr. Gary Glassman Endodontic Award.
It was with this passion for endodontics that she decided to pursue specialty training in Endodontics and applied to the University of Toronto (U of T) where she was accepted to do her MSc. in Endodontics (2018). Again, this made her a pioneer as she became the first locally trained, Jamaican dentist to enter a dental specialty programme.
